Adding and updating products

You can add or update information about a product such as its price, variants, and availability from the Products page in your eCommerce admin. ShipEarly has web hooks to identify when new products are created and or updated to automatically obtain the latest information with respect to images, product names, descriptions, UPCs, pricing, variant information, inventory and product categorization (which is used for discounts & shipping setup).

Make products available on ShipEarly

If you do not have web hooks enabled or require a faster update to modify products to activate them in ShipEarly a product sync may be required to pull the information via API from your eCommerce platform.

To perform a product sync:

1. Make sure your updates are made inside your eCommerce platform
2. Login to ShipEarly
3. Click on Products
4. Click Sync Products button

It may take up to one minute for the synchronization to initiate, you will see a blue Synchronizing button appear when it is taking effect. Click on alternate pages or refresh the screen to check once complete. The newest products will appear at the top of the products pages and to confirm modifications of old products use the search bar to on the products page to locate.

Activating products in ShipEarly

To activate products, they must first appear by following the steps above to add products into ShipEarly. In order to activate a product it requires a Part # or SKU and click Save.

It is recommended you have UPC information, update wholesale pricing, and assign if assembly/install is required on the product along with the corresponding install time. Product categories can also be assigned based on which type of retailer you aim to sell products through. Any associated tags and collections can also be assigned.

These options are available by hovering over the blue Action button and clicking on Edit Product. Wholesale pricing can be set for an individual product by hovering over and clicking the Edit Pricing button. Retailer pricing tiers must first have been established to assign wholesale pricing.

If you wish to mass update product information click Export to create a .CSV or excel file. To import back in, simply modify the file and click Import.
