All ShipEarly payment methods rely on Stripe as a payment gateway to process your transactions. Stripe may charge extra fees, as well as enforce rules about what products you can sell using their service. Be sure to check with the company to make sure you understand their rules and fees.
Typically their service charges 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction with the opportunity to negotiate lower rates based on volumes. Any transactions that your company intends to be the seller of record such as direct transactions or commission dealer orders your company will be the seller of record. Transactions involving stocking dealers, the dealer is the seller of record.
When you set up a Stripe account to accept credit card payments, each payment must be processed, so there is usually a delay between when the customer pays for their order and when you receive the payment. After the payment is processed, the purchase amount will be transferred to your merchant account. In the United States most payments arrive into your bank account within 2 business days but depending on your bank can take between 5-7 business days. In Canada, payments take 7 business days to be deposited into your bank.
As we add alternate payment providers, such as PayPal, they will have their own ways of getting funds from your customer to you. Check with the service you are using to find out how they will pay you.
How often you get paid
With Stripe, you can check your payouts at anytime by logging into your Stripe console to see when when you'll receive payouts from credit card orders. Other payment providers have their own rules on when you receive payouts for credit card orders. Check with your provider to figure out how often you will be paid.
After the payout is sent, it might not be received by your bank right away. It can take a few days after the payout is sent for it to be deposited into your bank account. Check with your bank if you find your payouts are being delayed.
